General Information

Singapore is a tropical country with temperate climate throughout the year. Temperature in December usually ranges between 22ºC to 30ºC (72ºF – 86ºF). Most rainfall is during the November to January Northeast Monsoon season. English is widely spoken in Singapore, although the official languages include Chinese, Tamil, and Malay. The unit currency is Singapore Dollar (S$). Singapore has evolved from a famous trading port in the Malayan Strait, into a modern city-state Republic. At its root lies the blend of various cultures with a unique balance of the East and the West.
